Developed by a team of experienced modders from the Paradox forum, Darkest Hour is a stand-alone Hearts of Iron game. The game features a mixture of short and in-depth campaigns set across the darkest chapters of the 20th century. Play from the outbreak of the Great War up until the onset of the Cold War.Darkest Hour will introduce a new artificial intelligence that is now able to react to hundreds of different situations simultaneously. It implements a dynamic diplomatic system that will allow the player to have a real impact on the course of history.

Отличная игра, которая прошла проверку временем. Рекомендую опробовать мод ''Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg", с ним игра по-настоящему оживает.
Из минусов - ужасающий шрифт, который сажает глаза.
Эта игра может считаться той, в которую обязан сыграть, не то слово - каждый, но, пожалуй, любой человек, увлекающийся выбранной авторами темой и, самое важное, жанром. Стратегии такого типа не жалуют у массовой аудитории вниманием;особенным вниманием не удостаиваются и разработчики, в равной степени с тем, что зовется профессиональной солидарностью;такие игры не вообще никто не ждёт, и они не считаются передовыми по каким бы то ни было параметрам(впрочем, во время процветания сепаратистских движений, заботить вас будет отнюдь не технологичность той части контурной карты, которая попала в зону влияния вашей державы).И, несмотря на то, что эта игра является первой с таковой тематикой в моей недолгой жизни, она определенно вызвала у меня большей частью положительные впечатления, в то же время бывши такой сложной к освоению.
